Key takeaways from the Displacement Analysis
Analysis covers 2006 to 2025 for the seven-county region. Station areas are half-mile areas around each station. Displacement index: net outflow of lower income households as a percentage of lower income households in the area, relative to control corridors without frequent transit.
About the data
The dashboard presents aggregated, de-identified outputs of the Displacement Analysis. Household movement is measured annually for half-mile station areas on the frequent transit network and for comparable control corridors without frequent transit. No household-level records are published.
Project phases follow each transitway's timeline: pre-development, planning, construction and operation. The displacement index compares net movement of lower income households out of a station area with the base mobility seen in control corridors, so it isolates transit-related pressure from the region-wide churn that exists everywhere.
